Enninful in Vogue

British stylist and creative director,

Youngest ever editor at an international fashion title (i-D),

A driving force behind Vogue Italia's top-selling 'All Black' Issue
(so popular it had to go to reprint - 40,000 extra issues)

Fashion Director and arguably saviour of W Magazine,

Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
(tbh, not sure what this means beyond hanging out with the Queen and getting a sweet medal)

and now

Editor-in-Chief at British Vogue

Edward Enninful, he's the first male in the 100 year history of British Vogue to be named editor-in-chief and he's a motherfcuking genius.

I can see some of you shaking your heads already, another male taking out a top job, feminism, glass ceiling, etc. etc.

But there's a reason we should be celebrating this appointment...

Edward Enninful is the man person for this job.

If you don't believe me then take a look through some of my favourites from his work over the last few decades,

maybe that will convince you.

W Magazine - September 2016

My absolute favourite cover from last year with Rihanna reimagined as the ruling queen of a dystopian future.
Ft. Cartier, Prada, Maison Margiela Haute Couture and beauty by Pat McGrath Labs.

Good Kate, Bad Kate
W Magazine - March 2012

The eternal supermodel, Kate Moss, in the editorial that electrified the fashion world and caused outrage among religious groups.
Ft. Jil Sander, Balenciaga, Atsuko Kudo and captured by Steven Klein

W Magazine - May 2016

Another testament to racial diversity in fashion.
A lesson in power dressing, with models from the world over including Irina Shayk and Brandon Bailey.
ft. Emilio Pucci, Burberry, Givenchy captured by Steven Klein.

This is Major!
i-D Magazine - Spetember 2007

Possibly one of the most pinned/reposted/noted covers on the interwebs is the shot of otherworldly beauty Gemma Ward wrapped in roses
Ft. Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Chloe and captured by Emma Summerton.

W Magazine - August 2014

You can never have too much Rihanna, taking her title as queen again in the animalistic editorial announcing her as the world's "wildest" style icon.
Pretty fitting considering her look often blurs the line between fashion and carnality.
Ft. Helen Yarmak, Meadowlark and beauty by Kabuki for Dior.

W Magazine - September 2015

Is it a photoshoot? Is it a party?
Baby, it's both.
One of my favourite shoots with some big names including the original party girls Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton as well as Joan Smalls and Stella Maxwell.
Disco and debauchery - everything  most people think being really, really, ridiculously good looking is all about.
Ft. Saint Laurent, Balmain, Valentino and captured by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

He's damn talented.
Told you so...
