StyleCrawl @ CQ

Think pub-crawl... But in heels,

Invite only,
And just all around chicer.

And you might start to get the idea of Thursday night's event at Perth's premier shopping destination, the Claremont Quarter.

A select group of Perth bloggers, stylists and fashion writers were invited to the ZARA BRYSON store on Thursday evening and what ensued was a night of fashion, canapés and general debauchery; As we were taken on a guided tour around some of the very best boutiques the Claremont Quarter has to offer.

ZB specialises in "chic everyday wear" with a point of difference. The store for the girl or woman who wants to use every day as an opportunity to showcase her sense of style and fashion forward perspective. Trend aware, yet not necessarily trend driven.

Father Menswear Store
Stocks Brands such as American Vintage, Bassike, Ksubi and Status Anxiety

Sipping our Champagne cocktails, courtesy of the Duchess Bar, we strolled next door to menswear moguls FATHER. They stock all the best shirts, shorts, shoes, whatever... for your boyfriend, your dad, even that guy from the coffee shop you secretly stalk*.

Boasting not only our old favourites like Ksubi, Libertine and Paul Smith, Father have also recently become the first WA stockist of mens J Brand jeans - one small step, right guys?

Salmon Skin Ballet Flats @ Sambag
Emma in Sambag (cardi and jacket) and Haikure (pants)
Sambag's National Retail Manager - Lydia, had the boots that we ALL wanted
SAMBAG never fails to impress me, and this was no exception. Taking the metallic trend down a notch they've made it way more wearable for seasons to come, as well as getting all eco-friendly, cozying up with Italian label Haikure and offering their clients a beautiful and sustainable option when it comes to jeans.

Mannequins @ Adam Heath
Hazelnut Caprioskas with Chicken Liver Pate, Port Jelly & Micro Herbs from the Duchess
31 Hour Bag by 3.1 Phillip Lim
Gorgeous neckpiece worn by one of the Adam Heath ladies
ADAM HEATH always known to me growing up as "that store with the crazy handbags" - think pineapples and owls just for starters. What isn't crazy though, is the 31 Hour Handbag (pictured above) by 3.1 Phillip Lim, in-store at the moment. It had the girls visibly drooling, well it was that or the amazing food and drinks Steve from the Duchess kept feeding us at every stop.

Models wearing Thomas Sabo jewellery
a display of charms and pendants @ Thomas Sabo

Layered Thomas Sabo jewellery
THOMAS SABO wowed us with their extensive jewellery collection and tried to woo us with the prospect of winning gift vouchers. BUT, in need of refreshments we had to move right along,

Morgan Marks does colour
Morgan Marks does jewellery
Bronx wearing the Morgan Marks layered look
MORGAN MARKS is a Western Australian label unlike any other. Designed to appeal to women of all ages and work in your wardrobe season after season focusing on quality and functionality. Sipping on the most luscious Lady Lychee cocktail whilst blue swimmer crab and herb blinis with lemon crème fraiche we learnt that the Morgan Marks look isn't a dress, nor is it pants and a top. It's built layer upon layer specifically to the wearers desire to create a unique and beautiful look every time.

Further along we came to a firm WA favourite, homegrown brand, Morrison. Where one of the labels designers, Kylie Radford, took us through some of the key looks for the upcoming Winter season.

Accessories @ Tigerlily

casual, boho-chic daywear @ Tigerlily
Emma @ Tigerlily
Always one of my favourite stores, Tigerlily smelled almost as good as it looked with their signature scented candles burning around the room. It turns out at least one of us was right on trend, with Catherine, fashion writer for the Post, donning the exact same beautiful printed maxi dress they had model Emma styled in for the night - it's hard to say who looked better.

Miniature strawberry cheesecakes from the Duchess
Rayne Embley trying on a Rosendorffs ring for size
Craig Rosendorff showing off a drool-worthy cushion cut yellow diamond ring
The gorgeous bags of roses every girl got to take home
I've never been HUGE on jewellery, give me a handbag and I'm happy. But my experience at ROSENDORFF may just have changed that. Owner and creator Craig Rosendorff walked us through the process of crafting fine jewellery whilst we downed more of Steve's delicious cocktails and canapés (mini strawberry cheesecakes and white kisses this time). And then of course, came playtime :)
We were like kids in a candy shop.

Emma in Seafolly Swimwear
Our last boutique, and of course the one that shows of the most skin, was Seafolly. Not surprisingly in Perth, business booms all year round, with a long hot summer and longer, hotter Bali season to be had by all the swim and resort wear is snapped off the racks at all times of year.
But I don't care what you tell me about fashion, there's no way in hell you're ever going to see me in a rash vest, even if it is Seafolly.

Bronx in Charlie Brown @ Beluga Restaurant
When finally we weren't sure if our feet could carry us or our if we could bare another bite (the amazing seafood paella and  wine at Beluga would prove that, yes, we could), we made our way to our final destination, Beluga Claremont.
Here we were treated to one last "runway show" featuring some of the labels we didn't get to visit throughout our tour.
And the best way to end a great night? Goodie bags of course!

Being the first event of it's kind held at the Claremont Quarter, it was a wonderful success with a great group of ladies and ran brilliantly smoothly thanks to the talents of our host, Elizabeth Clarke, from Fashion Food Fatale and event organiser Tanya Stephenson.
