Is the best way I can think of to describe the red carpet looks at this year's Academy Awards.
Except for Winner of the coveted Best Actress award, Jennifer Lawrence. Who is both beautiful and charmingly clumsy, managing to trip up the stairs on the way up to accept her award.
But hey, even donning her Dior Haute Couture gown and Chopard jewellery, she manages to see the humour in it all.
And isn't that top photo just absolutely beautiful? The epitome of elegance even in a stumble.

Louise Roe, host of Fashion Star isn't exactly an A-list name. However she most definitely comes in at number one on my best dressed list with this gorgeous nude and scarlet, embroidered tulle, Monique Lhuillier gown.
Stacy Keibler, comes in a close second (possibly even first, but a point is deducted for taking Clooney off the market). Her stunning, art deco inspired Naeem Khan gown shone from every angle and just cemented her status as a red carpet supernova.
Naomi Watts, the Australian stunner amped up the shine factor in her gunmetal sequinned one-shoulder, custom Giorgio Armani Prive gown. Though the best actress nominee didn't take home the Gold Guy, she definitely won more than a few approving nods with her red carpet choice.
Samantha Barks, was definitely the best of the British in her simple, pocketed Valentino gown. The plunging neckline works perfectly on her petite figure and the Forevermark neckpiece sets off the look perfectly. This girl can really do simple yet sexy.
and... the Worst
Kristen Stewart, the crutches were almost an improvement with the whole "sympathy vote" thing.
Anne Hathaway, okay so those aren't actually her nipples, but still...
Helena Bonham Carter, not a surprise really. But at least she's recycling... that neckline from the 1980s.

Fan Bingbing, whatever - I pretty much just wanted to say her name. FAN BINGBING, FAN BINGBING, FAN BINGBING!
I could go on for hours, days even.
But this blog is about pretty things... and fashion. Not faux pas.
Plus I need to plan my outfit for Garth Cook tomorrow night, any ideas?
