It's Las Vegas, Ladies

Garth Cook's latest and greatest,

collection premiered last night outside in the languid evening air, on The Promenade in Bishop's See, right at the heart of Perth's CBD.

Azalea Banks blasted out the speakers around us as designers, models and civilians alike turned invites into fans and waited, watching (generally in the wrong direction) for the show to begin.

LIGHTWEIGHT, PASTEL TONES
TRANSLUCENT, GLIMMERING FABRICS
AND
SLICK, LUSTROUS CROCODILE SKIN
[FAUX OF COURSE]

Dominated the open air runway, paired with

STRUCTURED WHITE SHIRTS
AND
SHIMMERING RAINBOW PLEATS

SPRING SUMMER 13/14

I've always been a fan of Garth Cook's aesthetic, but it's been a long time since I've been left in awe. As to how I'm going to fit everything "I just love" and "have to have" into my meagre wardrobe space... dilemmas abound.

Garth has set the bar high with this collection and the after party was abuzz with who wanted what, whose legs could possibly pull off those crocodile shorts, and [of course] Lara sightings in "that" grey coat.

And I was abuzz with the new outfit possibilities and Espresso Martinis.

xx Elle
